All Mustangs Welcome
Driven by passion. United by Mustangs.
Founded in 2024, the High Desert Mustang Club was created to bring together individuals who share a passion for the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of the Ford Mustang. Our club exists to provide a social and recreational environment where members can connect, share experiences, and enjoy the automotive hobby together.
As a regional club of the Mustang Club of America, we are proud to represent the Mustang community throughout New Mexico with enthusiasm, respect, and a forward-thinking spirit. We welcome enthusiasts of all backgrounds and experience levels, whether your Mustang is new or classic, original or modified, show-ready or still a work in progress.
The High Desert Mustang Club is built on camaraderie, inclusiveness, and a shared appreciation for the Mustang legacy. Through cruises, car shows, social gatherings, and automotive events, our members enjoy opportunities to spend time together while celebrating a common interest.
While our primary purpose is to provide social and recreational activities for our members, the club also occasionally hosts events that create opportunities to support and collaborate with nonprofit organizations through designated fundraising efforts. These activities reflect the interests of our membership while remaining centered on fellowship and enjoyment of the hobby.
Above all, our goal is to create a welcoming environment where friendships are formed, knowledge is shared, and the enjoyment of Mustang ownership brings people together.

Board of Directors
Greetings. My name is Michael Castro and I am the current President of the High Desert Mustang Club. Our club was formed in the summer of 2024 with the goal of creating a family of Mustang owners committed to supporting our community. In our two short years, we have supported the Veterans Integration Center, The UNM Children’s Hospital and the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary with money raised at our sponsored car shows. We are one the youngest car clubs to be accepted for membership in the Mustang...

I’m excited to serve as the Vice President for the High Desert Mustang Club this year. I’ve been passionate about cars for as long as I can remember, and I’m really looking forward to helping support our club and keep things running smoothly from all perspectives. A little about me outside of the club, I served in the Army National Guard as a mechanic for 6 years and law enforcement for 10 years. I’m here to ensure we have fun, grow, and adhere to our founding principles. If you have any questions or anything else feel free to reach out.

Danny and I were passionate about motorcycles, owning our favorite rides. Everything changed in 2021 when Danny was diagnosed with cancer. After his second hospital stay, he declared, “I never want to be in the hospital again.” Understanding the gravity of his words, I suggested we sell our beloved bikes. Danny's pride was a stunning 2015 Roadmaster, while I rode a sleek 2016 Scout. We decided to sell with a few friends. Months later, we received an exciting call: my new Rapid Red Mustang had arrived! I brought her home and started with a wrap and ceramic...

Ever since my first race in a 1968 Camaro, with the muscle and the speed I was hooked. Searching for the right car I came across a 1965 Ford Fastback Mustang. The American muscle became a must have, a dream, a goal! My very first Mustang was a 2014 V6 Oxford White Mustang. She was fast, Loud and sat pretty. Life had a different plan and now there is a 2015 EcoBoost Premium Turbocharged Convertible, Ebony Black in my life. Being a part of a community of Mustang enthusiasts was something I wanted and I needed. I searched and reviewed the car clubs in my area...

My name is Don Prescott and I’m proud to serve on the HDMC board. I’ve been a Mustang fan as long as I can remember. I drove a 65 Coupe in High School and I’ve always had a Mustang in my garage since then. I served 26 years in the Air Force. I currently own a 65 Fastback, 90 Foxbody, and a 15 Roush. I’m looking forward to assisting with the continuing success and growth of our club family.
Respectfully,
Don Prescott
